AWF contracts

AWF takes its wrestling contracts seriously. Why? Because it makes the game more fun. When a wrestler is "released" from his contract or violates "terms" of his contract, then he may have cause for grievance with the AWF Company. Of course, no monies mentioned in contracts are of real value, and no clauses are binding outside the fun and games of the fed.

But, within the game, the contracts are binding. In many leagues, wrestlers often fib about their contracts, stating this and that. Well, at AWF, the management will determine contract status for wrestlers based on performance and will renegotiate at various intervals. We believe that having real contracts make the game more fun for you because you feel a sense of ownership -- and you really do have a REAL contract to talk about when you promo. Below are the contracts we offer:

Rookie contract

This contract will be offered to all wrestlers joining AWF. The wrestlers receive a 30-day probation period in which they can perform within AWF before an evaluation. At this evaluation, the wrestler can ask for a full contract (Level 1, with options). If refused by management, the wrestler will remain on 30-day probation and will have another review at the end of that period. The purpose of this is to make sure both parties have the ability to sever relationships (leave or be released) during this probationary period without breaking any terms of contract. The initial contract is for at least two in-ring performances in 30 days and at least four promos (roleplays) during that time period. The value of this contract for a wrestler is $500 per week.

Level 1 contract

This contract is offered to those who pass the rookie level. It is sometimes possible that experienced wrestlers with a provable track record of success in other companies can enter at this level and avoid a rookie contract. However, you must provide sample promos you have published and pages containing history of titles you have won. This contract is for six months. The wrestler has the option to negotiate clauses within the contract and those clauses must be approved by both parties. The clauses can't be totally outlandish, but AWF is willing to throw in some interesting twists to help your storyline. The clauses will be kept by management and a copy will be given to the wrestler. Wrestlers under Level 1 contract must have no less than two in-ring performances per month and have at least 6 promos during that time period. Failure to meet these standards (without prior approval for vacation, sickness, etc.) can result in falling back to the rookie contract. The value of this contract is between $1,000-$1,500 per week, negotiable based on performance or history.

Level 2 contract

This contract is available for those who have been with the company for more than six months, but it is not necessarily guaranteed. Wrestlers can -- and may possibly -- remain at Level 1 after the first six months. A wrestler who has produced consistently solid work and progressed may be offered or request Level 2 status. Also, a rookie who performs WELL above the normal level can request Level 2 status, but this rarely will be considered. Value of this contract is $2,000-$2,50 per week, based on negotiations.

Level 3 contract

This is the highest contract AWF offers. The details of this contract are confidential and are negotiated between both parties. The cost is from $4,000 and up per week, and this contract is only available to those who have been with the company for more than one year and have progressed through the other levels. We take great pride in this contract, and no newcomer, no matter how established he has been in another company, can earn this level without meeting the time stipulations. This contract comes with potential stock options and certain power within the company in helping make decisions, and may lead to front-office positions, if desired.
